Beautiful baby Lilly visited me in the studio for her very first photo shoot.  Mom had some specific images that she wanted, and of course we got those and more!  So much fun to photograph newborns and their baby features.  They grow out of them way too fast!  Here are a few of my favs….

Taryn and Paul were married last fall at the Lanam Club in Andover, MA.  To go with their formal wedding, they chose a flush mount album with black leather, silver gilding and a cover cameo (photograph inlaid in the leather).  Taryn did a great job narrowing down all of the images, so their design is simple and dramatic (I love it!).  Here are just a few detail images of some of the album spreads.

Julia’s Garden, a butterfly garden and playground located at the WWI memorial park in North Attleboro, MA is a wonderful place to play. It named for a little girl name Julia whose parents, family and friends keep her memory alive through the Julia Cekala Foundation. My husband and I have run in the foundations 5K for the past two years, and I am proud to sponsor this years wine event. The wine event is being held on March 12, 2010 in Foxboro, MA and includes wine tasting (of course!) with food, music, dancing, silent auction, and raffles. I photographed Ben and Jack in their home last week.  It was too cold to go outside, but their home had beautiful window light and we got some great images of each of the boys, and even got mom and dad in a couple!

I know that looking for a wedding photographer for 2010 is beginning to get a bit daunting, as I am getting several requests for dates I already have booked.  The good news is that even if I am booked, I know several photographers with similar styles whom are all wonderful and I am happy to connect you with one of them.

My schedule is filling up as March quickly approaches.  As usual, the fall dates are most popular but I am still hearing from great couples looking for coverage from April-November.  I do not post an online calendar with specific dates for security reasons, but here is the basic rundown:  There is still some available dates in May and June (so spring/summer brides are in luck!).  There is one date still available in July, one in August, and surprisingly enough, labor day weekend is still open.  Other than that date, August 20th through the end of 2010 is completely booked (if you have an intimate wedding that may be doable).

I get a lot of requests for casual wedding party photos, and have come up with a style of posting large parties that my clients have really loved.  Here are a few from the 2009 wedding season….enjoy!

It’s so much fun to see my newborn clients turn unto big siblings!  Keira celebrated her second birthday and became a bis sister last month to baby Maeve.  Congratulations to the whole family!

Lots of great changes this year at JLM Studio!  I am very excited to announce that after five years I have opened a gallery and portrait studio.  My new location in Plainville, MA has an expanded collection of handmade shabby-chic custom frames and hand-crafted albums, and is minutes off of route 495 and route 95.  I am taking appointments for portrait sittings and wedding consultaions in the new space starting Feb 15.  Of course, we will need to have some sort of grand opening!  There will be grand opening specials posted here in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

Baby Nolan was welcomed into the world shortly after the new year. I met him a couple of weeks later and had so much fun taking photos of the little cutie in his beautiful nursery. Even Duncan, the family dog, got in on the fun. Congratulations Christina, Shayne (and Duncan!) on your new addition!

Two weeks old is a great time for baby photos, because everyone is a bit more relaxed (albeit tired!) but the baby hasn’t outgrown some of those distinctive newborn features.
