The Flower Girl

Bethany did such a great job at my last wedding that I wanted to share some photos of her work.  Here is what she had to say:  ”It was a pleasure working with Shannon to create the perfect details for her wedding day. The scent of lavender was really her only request. I incorporated both fresh and dried lavender throughout the ceremony and reception flowers to create the scent she craved.”

Beautiful work!  Check out more at www.bethanytheflowergirl.com

Flowers by Steve

I was recently contacted by Flowers by Steve about some images from a wedding back in the fall of 2009 that they would like for a new website.  It’s always fun to go back and look at previous weddings.  Thought I’d share some of the images of flowers from the wedding of Taryn and Paul, which took place at the beautiful Lanam club in Andover, MA.  I may be located on the south shore but seem to travel to the north a lot each year – and it’s always worth it!  Check out these beautiful flowers…

Idea Book – Flowers

Flowers are such a big part of the decor at a wedding, and I know that leads to big discussions before the wedding.  Color, what’s in season, monochrome, muted, bright….here are a few ideas from past brides.  I will be adding more as I can get all of the bouquet images from 2009-present.

Idea book – Centerpieces

A few centerpieces (flowers and otherwise!) from past JLM Studio clients.  A few of my favorite ideas are from weddings so long ago the images are on film (so chances are they won’t make it on here), but here are a some images from the digital age to hopefully jump-start your own creativity!

Second Look

I had the pleasure of working with Erica Coppell of Adeline and Grace Photography in RI this past summer and it was so much fun!  My clients know how much I love to photograph weddings solo and the advantages of it, but I have been working with a few photographers this summer and have been really enjoying it.  My take on the day ends up looking a little funny – kind of like having only half of the puzzle pieces in place, but it all comes together to build a complete story for the clients.

My assignment was to cover the seemingly endless details in this colorful indian wedding.  From the jewelry before the bride put it on to the dessert table, all the details were documented.
